#TRAVELDIARIES | “If I could travel now..” | YOUNG&MONOCHROME

TRAVELI have been dreaming of travelling somewhere… maybe even get lost. I don’t know. Maybe, being lost in a foreign land may help one find her truest desires.

Lately, I have been browsing a whole lot of ‘places’ on Pinterest, which is weird. My Pinterest used to be for clothing, then transitioned to Home Decor, now, I am all about travelling. Maybe, the reason why I gravitate towards this idea is the fact that I do miss experiencing new things. Like, finally seeing things on my own. It sounds scary, but that kind of ‘adrenaline’ excites me. I miss that kind of feeling. Am I getting old? I don’t know. As far as my age is concerned, I am not that old or too young to have those kinds of restrictions. I hate the fact that there are plenty of things hindering me from this wish of mine… I guess, I just have to work hard, put myself out there, to finally tick this off my bucketlist… AND THAT WILL HAPPEN. ❤

Before I get too emotional, here are the destinations I have been longing to go to: (in no particular order)

1. SINGAPORE (… especially to the Prudential Singapore Eye Art Exhibit at the ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands-Singapore)

d7f4d6246ac8956df5b915f236d69ec3

SINGAPORE is one of the top destinations for tourists around the globe. It is because the country’s overall aura is an amazing fusion of cultures and modern living. Who wouldn’t want to visit the country? What made me more eager to visit Singapore is because of this Art Exhibit, where T.O.P became as an art curator. With all honesty, I came to know about this exhibit because of him, but as I research further, it became more interesting. I am no art critic, not even an art enthusiast, but with T.O.P’s IG updates, that might change; I might give the exploration a chance. What saddens me though is the fact that the said exhibit is only until the 28th of June. T^T I really want to witness this though. If I won’t be able to go to this exhibit, might as well save more for the next one.

(click on the image below to get tickets for the exhibit, if I were you? You should get one now. Before it’s too late 😉 )

That feeling of being surrounded with pieces, by a handful of creative people, is something one should look forward to. Ugh. Just thinking about it makes me sigh out of bliss. THE OVERFLOWING AMOUNT OF INSPIRATION MAY BE OVERWHELMING TO BE TAKEN INTO, but that would just mean that you just have to let go and let yourself BE INSPIRED.

2. JAPAN

I am not really sure why, or how it even happened, but I just recently became MORE curious about the Japanese culture. Is it because of the Japan Vlogs I have been watching lately? Maybe. But whatever it is, it’s hella working! ❤

JAPAN is (in my opinion) an EXCELLENT country. The lifestyle, the fashion, the food, the culture… EVERYTHING IS JUST SO COLORFUL. I also love that the Japanese people are very disciplined, like the areas are very clean and very tourist friendly. I really wanna go there to taste an authentic Tonkatsu or Ramen… or both. And just walk through the Shibuya Crossing, go to the Tokyo Tower and witness Tokyo at night… just roam around the streets and take it all in. *_* oh! And the pastries!!! I NEED THEM ALL! *___*

3. LOS ANGELES COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART

I have been longing to visit LACMA ever since I watched some of my favorite YouTubers visit the said destination. I really don’t have words for it. It is just one of those areas where you can just see different art pieces and let yourself be inspired by all of it. From the instagrammable, Chris Burden’s “Urban Light” to Michael Heizer’s, “Levitated Mass”, what could I do to be there, right now?

9ae54b626545d083098939549b5b9ce2

4. FRANCE

Just because… why not?

I am not really sure why I really wanted to just have a glimpse of France. The reason why I can’t pinpoint the exact reason is because, FRANCE is such a beautiful country. Maybe, France in general is the reason why I wanna be there… YEAH. THAT’S IT.

5. ILOCOS SUR and NORTE (again)

We had a chance to visit these beautiful provinces early last year and what made me want to go there again is because when we went there, there were too many people that we can’t get around the area… I am sure that everyone had a great time there, we did have fun too! But, I just wish that the next time we go there, we would make sure that heavy traffic won’t hinder us, anymore. xD And besides, our country is a gem and it is indeed more fun in the Philippines 😉

and last, but definitely not the least:

6. SOUTH KOREA

This is every KPOP stan’s dream destination. When I was new to the Hallyu wave, I initially wanted to go there because of the oppas and eonies. But now, now that I am much more mature about things, I am in it for the adventure. South Korea is one of the leading touristic destinations in Asia and around the world. The intense impact of the Hallu Wave caused the country’s tourism to boost!

I have been dying to visit South Korea for quite some time now. I love how modern and advanced they all are, but still keep their culture be the main reason why they are an amazing country. I also admire how much amazing changes happened in just a span of time!  I also love how the people are passionate about the things they love doing (art, music, fashion, film, drama, architecture etc) I wanna visit Jeju Island and have that WE LIKE 2 PARTY moment, or even go to Hongdae, enjoying a cup of coffee (decaf), or visit ‘chill’ bars and enjoy a drink or two (although I don’t drink xD ), enjoy a round of Samgyupsal, go to the Han River, visit Busan, go visit a cat cafe and enjoy some tea with the cats, shop at Dongdaemun and Myeong-Deong, wear a Hanbok, enjoy great live music, eat some waffles from And.Here cafe… or maybe go to YG bldg and hopefully see my favorite artists go in and out of the building. xD (fangirl moments)… just enjoy the country! There’s nothing more than living in the moment and just be a tourist… and enjoy being one.

Being a tourist is a wonderful thing; being lost leads to something eye-opening. I wish that one day I could travel these exciting places… and more! I am glad I made this post. It lifted all those unwanted, personal weight off of my shoulders. There’s a deeper reason why I made this post. I hope that I could all share it with you, but I choose not too because I wouldn’t want y’all to feel sad as I am. xD Let’s just hope that one day, we could all get happy and just roam around the world like its suppose to be. One day, I will make all these happen, and I’ll bring you along with me.

May you all have an amazing day! Don’t stress out okay?

FASHION | Better late than never – NYFW FW15 | YOUNG&MONOCHROME

Hello! It has been a long time since my last legit update, and I am really sorry about that. Since this blog has been quite a big part of my life, I came to share bits and pieces of how my life is going. So far, my life needs a revamp. I need to make decisions to startup my life. With that being said, I would like to tell you that there would probably be lesser updates on this blog, for a short period of time (hopefully). As much as that decision hurts me, I just need to focus on my journey right now. I have been missing a whole lot lately, and I need to turn things around. But, I will try my best to update, once in a while. It is because, I really wanna pursue blogging, not just because it’s a “new” thing, but because I really enjoy doing it. I hope that you would all pray for me and just hope that my life would finally restart smoothly. Thank you! As what this blog post’s title entails, yes, IT IS FINALLY HERE. I was originally planning on posting the whole FW series review, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I have to choose “life” first (Although I have to say rn, that CHANEL, MOSCHINO, D&G AND VALENTINO’s collections BLEW MY FRIKKIN MIND. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! *_____* ) So, here I am, unveiling you my favorite collections from NYFW FW15! Thanks for your patience and I hope that you would enjoy this post!

DISCLAIMER: ORIGINAL and UNEDITED photos are from style.com. This post is not sponsored. Also, I was not AT the shows. I did “follow” the shows through the interwebs which was equally exciting. I also do not claim myself to be as a fashion critic or a trendsetter of some sort (so, I am really sorry for the corrections). As long as I find everything aesthetically appealing and just the heart poured into each piece, makes FASHION a PASSION for me. ❤

What better way to start off our blog post with one of my favorite designers, ALEXANDER WANG. This collection just screams chill, grunge and style, all at the same time. What made me admire Alexander Wang’s collection even more is the fact that every piece just makes a statement and very wearable.

WAN_0399and0412

The moment I saw that piece on the runway, I really wanted to have it… even though I am living at a very tropical country. XD

WAN_0375and0835

As we all know, plaid is a staple pattern for FW but what made these pieces out of the ordinary is the fact that the color is extra rich and that it becomes and innovative piece in your wardrobe.

It’s not just because everything is in my favorite shade, that’s why I love this collection (well, that counts a bit), but because, everything is just, well for me, my style. I love how they all look feminine with the perfect hits of masculinity.

Now, #realtalk everyone. I found out about DVF becasuse of E!’s House of DVF. I feel bad for not knowing Diane von Furstenberg before, she is so… RADIANT and inspiring. I believe that her collection for this season is named SEDUCTION… and I have to say that every piece truly embrace the essence of being a WOMAN – it’s classy, elegant, easy and breezy.

DVF_0185and0245

These next pieces just defines CLASS that every woman has. Elegance at its finest.

DVF_0369 DVF_0607 DVF_0573 DVF_0481

Now, this next piece, I just love eveything about it… from the color and the concept, BLUE my mind.

Now I do understand why DVF is an inspiration to many women, because SHE IS. She takes things “easy” in the sense that everything is taken care off with class. She is a strong woman and she empowers women to be one.

As I have always answered when people ask me how did I fall in love with FASHION even more is because of the HALLYU WAVE. Being a YG Ent fan, it opened my eyes to a variety of fashion pieces and designers that are both one of a kind and amusing. KYE is one of the many talented Korean designers, and her collections are all chill and stylish. She is definitely one of my favorite designers of all-time it is because, her pieces seem to have that laid-back feel but everything just stands out. Her pieces truly shows who KYE is in the fashion industry, an artist.

kye0312

I love how she used different types of plaid, colors and textures which made her FW collection a new route for F/W fashion.

The next pieces may be all black, but it’s not as dark as it shows. It is actually vibrant because of how the whole look is constructed.

kye23 kye24

I always look forward to KYE’s collections not just because every KPOP stars show their love, but because I really REALLY love her pieces. ❤

I always look forward to Jeremy Scott’s (Jeremy Scott & Moschino) shows because you are not just in it for a showcase for his unbelievable designs, but because you are in for a GREAT show. Every element just screams fun. It’s like a show where art is in full swing. His shows just prove that no one should be afraid color and fun… despite the season. 🙂 ❤

jeremy-scott06

As many critics have described, it was like Rugrats version 2.0. Many also praised this collection because of how everything is structured. And I have to agree!
jeremy-scott35 jeremy-scott29

As I have said, I am not a fashion critic, but I have to say that this collection really made my eyes filled with wonder and amazement. I never thought that these patterns and colors could actually work out on the runway. My eyes were in a feast and I loved it!jeremy-scott26 jeremy-scott22 jeremy-scott20

These pieces just made me feel so happy inside. Like, everything is just a splash of fun and creativity. Jeremy Scott really did an amazing job, all over again.jeremy-scott15 jeremy-scott14 jeremy-scott09 jeremy-scott07

The colors used were more muted, appropriate for F/W, but still, everything was vibrant and out-of-this-world. I would wear these pieces in a heartbeat!

Jeremy Scott’s style may not be “for all”, but I do think, as a lass who loves her shades of black and white, his creations make an exception; they are all amazing in its own unique way and I love how every season, he showcases different sides of fun in his collections… really, I am in love.

NYFW is one of the events that I have been praying to witness in the near future. It may be crazy and hella hectic, but I am up for the challenge. Just the mere fact that you are surrounded with creative and hardworking people, what more could I ask for? I would take the opportunity (if it would come, hopefully) to witness any event related with ART, MUSIC, and FASHION, no matter how hard it would be, I know that it would inspire me to be more passionate and motivated about pursuing what I really love. So, NYFW, MFW, LFW, PFW, Seoul Fashion Week, Tokyo Fashion Week, and Philippine Fashion Week: LET’S MEET EACH OTHER SOON okay? … please? 🙂

So, that was my REVIEW from the TUBE for NYFW. Again, I am really sorry for the delay. I hope that I could meet you all again in the near future!

Make sure to follow me on Instagram or Twitter, I would be frequently updating some random stuff there.

Again, Thank you and I hope that y’all have a great day!

HAPPY EASTER!

Stay YOUNG&MONOCHROME!
